RYA THEORY COURSES

For beginners we offer the Basic Navigation Course, for those with a little knowledge we have RYA Day Skipper Theory Course and for the more advanced the RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory . We also offer VHF (DSC) Radio, and First Aid Courses.

RYA Basic Navigation

A 2 day course for beginners course covering basic navigation, ideal for those new to the water and weekend sailers/boaters alike.

Cost of Course €250.00 (£275.00) in classroom or on our school boat.

RYA Day Skipper Theory

A five day theory course that we teach onboard generally suitable for those wishing to skipper boats up to 24m on inshore passages during the day. This course is the pre runner to day skipper practical.

Cost of Course £400.00 on the school boat.

RYA Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory

A more in depth five day shorebased theory course for those wishing to obtain the Yachtmaster Offshore certificate of competence. This course is the pre runner to its sister practical course and we usually teach it onboard.

Cost of Course £400.00 on the school boat.

RYA VHF-DSC Radio

A 1 day course with integral test to achieve a licence to operate.

Cost of Course £120.00) min 2 students

This does not include RYA licence fee of €34.00

RYA First Aid Course

A one day First Aid course for all course, suitable for commercial endorsements.
